A story-and-a-half frame house at 1334 Forty-fourth street, owned by Fred Schatteman and occupied by Fred Patteeuw, was damaged by fire yesterday morning at 11:45. The fire was caused either by sparks from the chimney or a defective chimney. The loss will reach $500 and Is covered by Insurance.
